Why
drains block
All drains and waste pipes
need cleaning at some time. Drains are often subject to abuse.
scale, dirt, grease and all manner of foreign objects accumulate.
Usually it's only a matter of time before the pipes flow capacity
is reduced or obstructed enough to create either a full or partial
blockage. The first signs are usually an increase in the time
baths and sinks take to empty, followed by a total blockage.

How drains are unblocked
Fox & Co have a variety of techniques used to ensure
blockages are not only properly cleared, but also less
likely to occur. We will undertake the most appropriate technique
to resolve your problem.

The most basic clearance technique used to
eliminate the blockage is with steel rods, which will then restore
free flowing conditions.
In most domestic situations this course of action is usually
successful.
The Kango - For domestic pipework, often the most practical
is to use
a Kango which uses a
burst of compressed air and creates a shock wave
(kinetic energy)
that travels through the water to break up the stoppage. |
