Honeywell Frost protection

FROST PROTECTION

The main aim of frost protection is to prevent water in pipes and tanks from freezing and to prevent damage to the building fabric.   After all, there can be few occurrences more dispiriting than finding your home flooded due to the thawing out of burst pipes.

Providing the right level of protection for your home can only be determined by discussion with your installer who can use his experience to guide you.   Factors that need to be taken into consideration include location of the boiler and associated pipe work and the layout of your home.  In some cases more than one frost protection control may be required.

Irrespective of whether you are having a complete new heating system installed or your existing one upgraded, it makes good sense to have low temperature protection controls fitted now.
