Isolation valves are used either to isolate systems when work needs to be carried out on them, or as service valves for individual products. Isolating valves should always be used with products that require maintenance work such as thermostatic mixing valves and thermostatic showers and pressure reducing valves. It is also a good idea to fit them when installing bathroom suites.  This will enable the changing of washers, cistern valves and other repairs to go ahead with the minimum of delay.  They can also be used to isolate the water supply immediately should a leak occur.

The products are either nickel-plated or brass.
