I am looking to purchase a family holiday home on or reasonably close to a beach. Open to locations, especially the western point of the island to locations along the A1 coastal road, including Green Island, Negro Bay, Davis Cove, Cousins Cove including the south-west part of the island. The area should be safe and within easy reach by car of tourist attractions. Not particularly interested in properties on the eastern side of the island, or in Montego Bay or Ocho Rios.

The property should be at least 4-5 beds or larger with a minimum of 2-3 bathrooms and be on at least two floors (no bungalows or single storey properties) and with plenty of living space, a caretakers lodge and possibly some outbuildings, or the potential for them also appeciated. The property should have a garage or the space to build one. A swimming pool would be nice but is not essential, but sufficient land to build one is a necessity. I might also be interested in other parts of the island, but would like to have a good view of the sea if possible.  Basically, I am after as big a property as possible and don’t really want to have too much work to do on the property to make it suitable for use as a holiday home.

An old property, perhaps Georgian, followed by a colonial type property would be my first choice, but I am open to offers. Have included some samples of the most appealing property types at the bottom of the page, all were priced around US$500,000.

I would consider an unfinished property, a property requiring renovation, a plot of land, a commercial property, a small hotel or boarding house, in fact anything with potential.  I am a cash buyer.
