Council Tax for the period between April 1999 to March 2000.
Council Tax has risen this year by 4.9 per cent, but will be kept at this level for two years, with a 2.6 per cent rise in 2001/2002.
 
The charges for this year are:

If you have a bank or building society account, you’ll find it easier and cheaper to pay by direct debit. If you’re having trouble paying, get in touch with the council as soon as possible – the sooner you do, the more help you’ll receive.
 
You may be eligible for Council Tax Benefit, a discount, an exemption or a reduction because of disability.
